Capital One Plaza of the Americas

Capital One partnered with GFF to reimagine their office space in the Plaza of the Americas South Tower. The goal was to create a workplace that fosters creativity, enables social interactions, and accommodates various work styles. The workspace is organized around clusters of workstations and enclosed offices. These clusters are connected by pods of meeting spaces, enclaves, and phone rooms that facilitate both collaborative and focused work. To reinforce personal connections between associates, a central hub space was created in the middle of the floor plan for impromptu meetings or socializing with colleagues.

The downtown location and the street grid of Dallas influenced the aesthetic of the space, introducing linear and angular design elements to evoke the concepts of intersection, connection, and flow. This is demonstrated through the use of linear wood wall and ceiling elements accented by angular components that transition between these planes. The use of color and pattern provides visual cues on the function of different spaces, while wood ceiling features add an unexpected warm touch in certain areas.
