Jim brings over 28 years of architectural expertise to his role as Managing Director of GFF’s Austin office. Since joining the firm in 2011, his rapid advancement—from Associate Principal to his current position as Principal—has been complemented by his vital contributions to the GFF Management Committee. With a deep understanding of local zoning laws, building codes, and urban planning processes, he skillfully guides complex projects from concept through completion. Beyond managing high-profile mixed-use and multifamily projects, Jim is committed to recruiting emerging talent and actively contributes to industry and academic boards. His unconventional beginnings as a trained pastry chef add a unique creative perspective to his approach, reinforcing his commitment to changing the world through transformative design.
