West Love Retail

West Love is a horizontally mixed-use restaurant, retail, and multifamily residential development conceived as an urban infill project near Love Field Airport. The site on Mockingbird Lane is planned to feature urban-styled commercial buildings with carefully designed walkable outdoor spaces that connect to the residential zone set further off the busy Mockingbird frontage. The GFF design team has worked closely with the Dallas City Design Studio, a new interactive design review process instituted by the City of Dallas planning staff.

The design addresses the need for a cohesive and vibrant urban development that integrates retail and residential spaces. By creating walkable outdoor areas and strategically positioning commercial buildings, the project fosters a pedestrian-friendly environment that enhances the urban fabric of the neighborhood. The collaboration with the Dallas City Design Studio ensures that the development aligns with the city’s vision for sustainable and engaging urban spaces. The result is a dynamic and interconnected community that caters to both residents and visitors.
