Maria Gomez

AIA LEED AP
President + Chief Practice Officer
Dallas Office
University Pontifical Bolivarian – School of Architecture And Urbanism
Maria Gomez, AIA, LEED AP, Principal and Studio Director at GFF, seated in a modern office lounge chair with folded hands, smiling confidently.

Maria brings over two decades of robust experience and leadership to her role as President and Chief Practice Officer at GFF Dallas. Since joining GFF in 1999, she has guided a diverse range of projects—from corporate offices and institutional facilities to transformative arts and cultural developments. Prior to GFF, Maria opened her own firm in Colombia, an experience that honed her entrepreneurial spirit and enriched her global perspective on design. Her visionary approach led to award-winning projects such as the Dallas Academy building expansion and the record-setting Park 17 multi-use building—Dallas’s first office building to achieve LEED Gold certification. Maria’s active participation in industry panels, speaking engagements, and influential publications underscores her commitment to professional excellence and community engagement. With a focused belief in the power of civic involvement, she continuously advocates for design that not only meets client needs but also enriches the urban landscape.
