Jason Cave is a Principal and GFF’s Director of Civic Practice. Joining the firm in 2022, he leads the strategic expansion of GFF’s public sector practice, directing complex municipal, judicial, and public safety projects across North Texas. His project contributions include civic developments across Dallas, Fort Worth, Roanoke, and Lewisville, where he guides multi-stakeholder consensus building, technical planning, and project delivery for city leadership and first responders.
With extensive professional experience across Iowa and the DFW Metroplex, Jason brings deep expertise in municipal project delivery, master planning, and city government processes. Prior to joining GFF, he established and led dedicated civic practice teams, developing specialized knowledge in public safety facilities and municipal infrastructure while contributing to firmwide business development and onboarding strategy. He aspires to advance the public realm through thoughtful, research-driven civic design that balances operational efficiency with community accessibility. He focuses on building long-term municipal partnerships that strengthen GFF’s portfolio diversity while providing functional, long-lasting spaces for public servants.
Outside the office, Jason resides in Richardson with his family, where he stays actively involved in community leadership through Leadership Richardson. He is a graduate of the University of Nebraska-Lincoln College of Architecture.
