Brian Kuper

AIA

Design Principal

Senior Design Studio
Texas A&M University – College of Architecture

As Design Principal, Brian orchestrates a vision that transforms architectural possibilities into community-enriching realities. Since joining GFF in 1993 and ascending to Principal in 2007, he has cultivated a design philosophy that emphasizes collaboration and innovation across all studio disciplines. His leadership style, marked by an inclusive approach to creative problem-solving, ensures that each project benefits from diverse perspectives while maintaining a cohesive design narrative. Under his guidance, the firm consistently pushes boundaries in architectural expression while remaining grounded in practical, human-centered solutions. His oversight of design award submissions has helped establish GFF’s reputation for excellence, while his leadership in producing the firm’s 40th Anniversary Monograph in 2022 captured the evolution and impact of the practice’s design legacy. Beyond his architectural pursuits, Brian embodies the creative spirit he champions professionally through his passion for crafting custom furniture pieces, where he explores the intersection of form and function on an intimate scale. His artistic dimension extends further into the Dallas music scene, where he finds rhythm and expression as a drummer in local bands, demonstrating his belief that creativity knows no boundaries.
