Life Austin Amphitheater

A faith-driven venue shaped for celebration, reflection, and connection

Project Brief

GFF designed a new amphitheater for LifeFamily Church to expand its music ministry and host various performance and worship events. The amphitheater features covered seating under a curved standing seam roof and additional lawn seating, accommodating 1,500 guests. The design supports an acoustical plan that ensures reinforced sound distribution while controlling decibel levels to comply with Austin Noise Ordinance requirements.

A large entry concourse serves as the primary event pre-function space and accommodates smaller informal worship, performance, and gathering areas. The concourse also hosts mobile food vendors and includes shaded seating areas created through native landscaping, forming a secure and welcoming perimeter that controls public access into the amphitheater.

The LifeAustin Amphitheater aims to provide a venue that combines world-class entertainment with a focus on faith and community, offering transformative experiences for attendees. The space is designed to support both large and small events, enhancing the church’s outreach and community engagement efforts.

This project from GFF’s Faith & Community Studio underscores the firm’s dedication to creating versatile and inspiring spaces that foster community connection and spiritual growth.
