Highland Park United Methodist Church
Refreshing a church lobby to enhance functionality and hospitality
Project Brief
GFF worked with Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas to refresh their existing lobby outside Wesley Hall auditorium. The church aimed to create a more functional welcome desk, a visitor information area, and an updated materials palette. The renovation included installing a larger circular desk and information monitor near the entry lobby, providing space to accommodate security equipment. The old security station was transformed into “The Hub,” a space adjacent to Wesley Hall where guests and members can connect with church staff.
New lighting was added to brighten the space and highlight a sculpture on a feature wall at the far end of the room. Fresh paint, wainscot treatments, new porcelain tile, and updated furnishings were used to make the lobby feel brighter, fresher, and more inviting.
