Project Brief

We believe in the enduring value of built space, the physical connection it brings, and the ability for buildings to enhance the human experience. The design of our own office exhibits this conviction while focusing on reimagining the workplace into a space that celebrates both our unique location in Victory Park and our teams within. Serving as our headquarters, this space was charged to reflect our firm’s hospitality and design-forward identity as well as reframe collaborative processes. With sustainability in mind, we challenged ourselves to be good stewards of what already existed, minimizing demolition and saving elements that supported the new design direction. This led us to embrace the pebble-like building footprint, guiding sweeping design moves that ripple and reflect through the interior space, each curve a conscious move, transcending trend and originating from the building itself. Curves guide you throughout the space, blending each of our studios into the next and expressing the integrated expertise and dynamic synergy our firm is known for. It was pertinent to keep all of our teams adjacent on one floor, utilizing the floor above solely for conferencing. The commitment to keep the workforce on a single floor reinforces spontaneous collaboration and strengthens the link between different practice areas. A shared work lounge and client reception, connected by a monumental stair, intermingles clients and employees while providing a unique space for differing workstyles. Biophilic indoor landscapes offer tranquil escapes for those seeking further respite. A myriad of different space types including the shared work lounge, huddle rooms, and open collaboration elements accommodate our diverse project teams, work styles, and personality types. Open, closed, quiet, social, scheduled, or impromptu, the varied workspace options allow our staff to choose the best fit for each task. Celebrating our employees while balancing their unique needs makes our office design synergy successful.
