Park Place – Dallas Volvo

This compact jewel is situated on a long narrow site which curves along Dallas’s Inwood Road. Volvo’s glass requirements aligned with the dealer’s desire to maximize showroom exposure to the intersection of Inwood Road and Lemmon Avenue. A simple rectangular form addresses the streets and masks the irregular two story support spaces along the rear property line. The unornamented showroom is the perfect foil for the lustrous new cars. At dusk the glass volume radiates light, showcasing the display cars and commanding the attention of the intersection.
