Henderson Avenue Reaches Major Construction Milestone, Featured by WFAA

What It Says

In a recent WFAA article titled “Henderson Avenue development goes vertical, one year before it’s scheduled to open” by Rachel Behrndt, Ignite-Rebees announced that construction has entered a major new phase on the 161,000-square-foot mixed-use development designed by GFF. The project will transform Henderson Avenue into a walkable corridor with retail, dining and office space across ten buildings.

Early vertical activity includes two single story retail buildings on the south side of the street. In addition, the first office over retail building within Henderson East is underway, which is distinct from the three story office hub with hospitality style amenities. The story highlights Romy as the first announced restaurant for the project.

Ignite-Rebees founder Mark Masinter describes the milestone as “a visible turning point from groundwork to skyline,” signaling the neighborhood’s continued evolution. The development is scheduled for completion in November 2026.

“This phase marks a visible turning point from groundwork to skyline,” Mark Masinter, who leads Ignite-Rebees, said in a press release. “We’re not just building structures. We’re building a new experience of place, energy, and connection on Henderson Avenue.”
