For more than two decades, GFF has partnered with First United Methodist Church of Richardson to create spaces that celebrate worship, connection, and shared experience. What began with the design of the sanctuary established a timeless architectural character for the campus, drawing inspiration from early Texas churches through expressive wood structure, detailed craftsmanship, and the warmth of natural light. Designed as both a sacred and civic space, the sanctuary remains the heart of the campus, bringing people together through music, ceremony, and fellowship.
Over the years, this partnership has continued to evolve. The addition of the Ministry Center and Celebration Hall expanded the campus into a place that connects worship, education, and fellowship under one roof. These spaces serve as the center of community life, designed for gathering, performance, and daily connection, reflecting a ministry that continues to grow and adapt to the needs of its congregation.
Looking ahead, GFF and FUMC Richardson are once again collaborating on a new master plan to reimagine the campus for the next generation. The first phase of design focuses on investing in children and youth, introducing a new dedicated entry, inspiring learning environments, and a revitalized Youth area with outdoor spaces for play, worship, and dining. A new Community Pavilion with a covered sports court, gathering courtyard, and greenhouse will further strengthen the church’s connection to its members and neighbors, continuing the story of faith, design, and community that has defined this partnership for more than twenty years.
