A dynamic co-working environment in the Design District designed to empower small business owners
The Slate is a 11,333 SF co-working office space created by sisters Shelly Slater and Jodie Hastings of Shelly Slater Strategies. Shelly Slater Strategies partners with businesses and non-profits around the country to find effective strategies for communication and story-telling.
The goal of the project is to create a dynamic co-working office and training facility where small business owners can effectively work while learning how to tell the story of their own businesses. Using an existing warehouse / office structure in the Design District of Dallas, Texas, the project introduces a new program into a layered, textured space.
Part of the project incorporates a dedicated studio space named “The Trev” in honor of Trevor Cadigan. It is here where small business owners can create audio and video content.
