Creekwood United Methodist Church – Campus Master Plan

The plan includes new athletic fields, nature trails, and outdoor play areas to support active engagement for all ages

Project Brief

GFF collaborated with Creekwood United Methodist Church in Fairview, Texas, to develop a long-range Master Plan aimed at enhancing the use of their 27-acre property for community gathering and outreach. The plan promotes the creation of athletic playfields, a nature trail, outdoor play areas, and an outdoor amphitheater for performance and worship. Anticipated expansions to existing facilities include additional Children’s Education spaces, areas for community gathering and connection, and multi-functional meeting spaces for both student and adult ministries. Furthermore, the church is exploring options to integrate commercial and community uses seamlessly into the campus, creating a mixed-use environment with the church as the focal point. This vision aligns with Creekwood UMC’s mission to foster spiritual growth and community engagement through scriptural education, relationship-based missions, and faith-centered fellowship, in an open and welcoming community. This project from GFF’s Faith & Community Studio emphasizes creating vibrant, multi-functional spaces that support both the spiritual and social needs of the community, while also enhancing the overall campus environment to serve as a central hub for various activities.
