Expanding a campus to serve both spiritual life and everyday community needs
GFF collaborated with Cielo Vista Church in El Paso, Texas, to create a comprehensive Master Plan aimed at enhancing the church campus through thoughtful design and strategic placement of new facilities. The plan features a pedestrian walkway that links various buildings and outdoor spaces, positioned along an existing utility easement. To ensure comfort, fabric tarps provide sun protection along the walkway but can be removed if access to underground utilities is needed.
A significant component of the Master Plan is the new 2,500-seat Worship Center and a community atrium/lobby, designed to foster a welcoming atmosphere and facilitate community gatherings. To the west, a café with an outdoor dining terrace is located in a separate building that also includes approximately 8,000 square feet of commercial lease space. The new buildings are strategically configured to create inviting outdoor gathering spaces, including an outdoor amphitheater, a water spray park, and informal areas for recreation and fellowship.
The western portion of the property will be developed into a community green space featuring a pond, walking paths, outdoor pavilions, a 250-seat wedding chapel, and a permanent location for the Tabernacle. Additionally, around 50,000 square feet of commercial lease space and additional parking will be available, enhancing the accessibility and functionality of the campus amenities.
