Zach McLain

Zach is a licensed architect serving as Design Leader in the Austin studio. He has developed a dynamic portfolio that spans urban infill mixed use, multifamily developments, high-rise office and residential projects, and institutional as well as educational work. His early career was shaped through a research and design position at the Coastal Sustainability Studio during his studies at Louisiana State University, where he engaged with multifaceted challenges involving coastal restoration, flood protection, and economic considerations along the Gulf Coast. Since joining GFF in 2018, Zach has taken on critical responsibilities in day-to-day project management, team coordination, budgeting, scheduling, and construction administration, while also contributing as a Design Liaison on prominent Austin projects.
