So7

So7 combines thoughtfully scaled buildings to form a warm, village-like community that honors Fort Worth’s architectural traditions

Project Brief

So7 is a multi-phase planned community located south of 7th Street and adjacent to Trinity Park in Fort Worth’s Cultural District. The development includes luxury townhomes and condominiums, a hotel, senior housing, and a new mixed-use component currently under construction. Our client’s objective was to create a warm, appropriately scaled village of buildings that would appear to have grown naturally over time. Each building features retail and restaurant spaces fronting both externally and along newly created internal streets. Two of the buildings have condominiums on four upper floors, offering great views overlooking Trinity Park and Downtown Fort Worth. One of the buildings includes two floors of office space above the retail areas. The architectural style is a modernized version of the Santa Barbara style, with stucco trimmed in stone and blue tile roofs, a palette that has appropriate precedents in Fort Worth’s historic neighborhoods and is comfortable in the hot Texas sun. The design addresses the need for a cohesive, village-like community that integrates residential, retail, and office spaces. By creating buildings that blend seamlessly with Fort Worth’s historic architectural styles and providing functional spaces for living, working, and leisure, So7 enhances the Cultural District and offers a dynamic urban experience. The thoughtful arrangement of buildings and use of materials contribute to a sense of timelessness and community, making So7 a desirable destination for residents and visitors alike.
