Dallas Morning News Highlights Henderson Avenue’s Next Phase

What It Says

In a recent Dallas Morning News article titled “Dallas’ Henderson Avenue to add new restaurant to major development” by Anna Butler, the publication reports on the continued progress of Henderson East, the GFF-designed mixed-use development led by Ignite-Rebees and Acadia Realty Trust. The first of four office buildings is now going vertical, marking a major construction milestone in the transformation of one of East Dallas’s most active corridors.

The story highlights the announcement of Romy, an all-day bakery-café and modern American restaurant from Tristan Simon, Taryn Anderson, and chef Matt Ford. Set to open in December 2026 at 2110 N. Henderson Avenue, Romy will occupy the ground floor of one of Henderson East’s office buildings and provide food and beverage service to office tenants while offering extensive outdoor seating.

Simon describes the project’s intent as creating a workplace experience that feels more like a private club, with high-end hospitality amenities and a strong sense of community. Balfour Beatty is leading construction, and the full development is expected to be completed in November 2026.

“Henderson East will function less like an office building and more like a private club with a palpable sense of community and high-end hotel-quality amenities,” Simon said in a prepared statement. “Romy’s role is to make coming to the office a joy and a source of pride.”
