The Hockaday School – Campus Master Plan

Planned expansions, including science, fine arts, and residence hall improvements, reflect the school’s commitment to continuous enhancement

Project Brief

GFF has served The Hockaday School continuously since 1996. The 100-acre campus in North Dallas has provided a setting for one of the premiere secondary schools for young women in the country. This master plan reflects projects completed since 1997 and illustrates projects to be accomplished in the future. Completed projects of particular note include the Liza Lee Academic Research Center, the Ashley Priddy Lower School, the Wellness Center, and the Middle and Lower School Building renovation. Significant projects planned for the future include the Crow Science Center renovation and expansion, the Residence Hall improvements, the Central Plant expansion, and major modifications to the Fine Arts facilities. The Hockaday campus offers a tranquil setting in a vigorous academic environment. The campus buildings, constructed of buff St. Joe Brick, cream-colored limestone, and glass, are infused with natural light and offer views of the heavily-treed landscape and courtyards. This design melds nature with outstanding educational facilities, providing an inspiring backdrop for academic excellence and personal growth.
