St. Paul’s Episcopal Church & School – Campus Master Plan
Uniting day school and worship functions through one thoughtful design
Project Brief
St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Prosper tasked GFF with master planning and designing a new campus on a seven-acre site at the southwest corner of Coit Road and First Street in Prosper, Texas. This innovative facility is designed to serve as a day school during the week and a church on weekends, addressing the dual needs of the community.
The master plan includes a 250-seat multi-purpose worship space, children’s education areas, and both indoor and outdoor community gathering spaces. Future expansions envision a larger worship space for 350 people, additional outdoor play areas, and expanded educational facilities for children. The design process revealed three main themes: community inclusiveness, natural light, and simple materials. These themes are reflected in the use of light-toned plaster and natural stone, providing material simplicity, while colonnade-wrapped courtyards and light-filled worship spaces promote a sense of community and openness.
The design by GFF’s Faith & Community Studio ensures the new campus will meet the diverse needs of both the church and school, fostering a welcoming and flexible environment that supports their mission and growth.
