Buckner International Family Hope Center

GFF has designed the new Family Hope Center for Buckner International, a global faith-based non-profit in Dallas, Texas. Buckner International’s mission with the Family Hope Center is to equip, empower, and elevate families, helping them reach their fullest potential. This new 22,000-square-foot, two-story building, located strategically in the Bachman Lake area, serves the community by providing a wide range of essential services, including financial empowerment classes, family counseling, humanitarian aid, a licensed after-school program, and a youth academy. The building is thoughtfully divided into smaller volumes and utilizes familiar gabled roof forms to create a welcoming and inviting façade.

A central landscaped courtyard extends the interior space, offering a safe exterior area for classes, events, and dining. The primary exterior building materials are limestone, wood cladding, cement plaster, and glass, with large roof overhangs designed to protect the building from the Texas sun. The interior features bright colors, comfortable lounge areas, and warm finishes to create a comfortable and inviting environment for the community.
