Joining GFF in 1993, and a Principal in the firm since 2007, Mr. Kuper has practiced architecture for nearly 25 years. As a Principal and Design Director, Brian oversees design work firm-wide and has made it his goal to involve all team members in the design process at GFF. He manages Design Awards submissions to both Dallas AIA and TSA, as well as designing and coordinating GFF’s entries to the Dallas AIA Annual Retrospect Exhibit.
Brian has earned many honors, both at GFF and other firms. His awards while with GFF include City of Richardson Community Revitalization Award (2005), D/AIA Citation Award (1998), TSA Design Competition Merit Award (1993), and the Ken Roberts Delineation Competition (1997 Citation Award and 1991, 1992 Traveling Show). Prior to joining GFF he won a TSA Merit Award for the Irving High School expansion. His creative outlets include the design and construction of custom furniture pieces and playing music. Brian is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), serving on the TSA Design Awards Committee from 2008 to 2015, acting as Chair of the committee during 2012-2013, and serving on the D/AIA Design Awards Committee from 1999 until 2003, 2008 through 2012, acting as Chair of the committee during 2009-2010, and D/AIA Commissioner of Design 2011-2012.
Mr. Kuper received his Bachelor of Environmental Design Degree from Texas A&M University in 1987 and his Master of Architecture Degree from Texas A&M University in 1990.
