Brian Kuper is the Design Principal at GFF, Inc

Joining GFF in 1993, and a Principal in the firm since 2007, Mr. Kuper has practiced architecture for over 30 years. As Design Principal, Brian oversees design work firm-wide and has made it his goal to involve all team members in the design process at GFF, resulting in work that achieves a positive effect on the pedestrian, neighborhood and city. He is responsible for ensuring the firm’s design capabilities and reputation are continually being assessed and advanced while also being focused on our client’s objectives to create compelling design solutions. He manages Design Awards submissions to both Dallas AIA and TxA, and led the completion of GFF 40th Anniversary Monograph in 2022.

Brian has earned many honors, both at GFF and other firms. His awards while with GFF include a City of Richardson Community Revitalization Award, D/AIA Citation Awards, TSA Design Competition Merit Awards, and the Ken Roberts Delineation Competition awards.

Brian is a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA), serving on the TxA Design Awards Committee from 2008 to 2015, acting as Chair of the committee during 2012-2013, and serving on the D/AIA Design Awards Committee from 1999 until 2003, 2008 through 2012, acting as Chair of the committee during 2009-2010, and D/AIA Commissioner of Design 2011-2012.

His creative outlets include the design and construction of custom furniture pieces and as a drummer in a number of local Dallas bands.

Mr. Kuper received his Bachelor of Environmental Design Degree from Texas A&M University in 1987 and his Master of Architecture Degree from Texas A&M University in 1990.
