Anna Eliese Ridgley is a Landscape Architecture Leader with GFF, based in the Dallas office. Anna Eliese brings a unique perspective and a wealth of expertise to her role. In 2018, she graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison with a Bachelor of Science in Landscape Architecture, accompanied by a focused study in Horticulture. Her selected project experience includes Dallas Theological Seminary, 2500 Cedar Springs, Hunter Park Godley, Dallas Zoo Parking Garage, Star Park (Bluestar), Carpenter Park, The Bend / Ojala Jensen, Soup Mobile, and Kairoi Knox.
Anna Eliese focused on the design with her art background. She is skilled at visualizing Landscape Architecture projects, including presentations, hand-drawn illustrations, and powerful, photorealistic renderings. She also enjoys a specialization of native species design and green infrastructure. In general, her work is driven by a commitment to Universal Design, striving to create spaces that cater to all abilities and ages. She believes that design should create opportunities for everyone. Her dedication to creating inclusive, sustainable spaces underscores her commitment to both people and the planet.
In her community, Anna Eliese actively serves as a member of the Rowlett Parks and Recreation Board, where she not only contributes her expertise but also leads multiple subcommittees and volunteers for various events throughout the year. Additionally, she is a dedicated member of her local church, particularly involved in serving children. Professionally, Anna Eliese is affiliated with CLARB (Council of Landscape Architectural Registration Boards), NRPA (National Recreation and Park Association), and is a Registered Landscape Architect with TBAE (Texas Board of Architectural Examiners). Beyond her professional commitments, Anna Eliese’s creative pursuits include painting, drawing, and embroidery. She is an avid reader, engaging with multiple books simultaneously. Her love for outdoor activities, such as camping, hiking, kayaking, and sports like volleyball and softball, reflects her holistic approach to life and landscape architecture.
“People with limited mobility, the elderly, and children are too often only considered in design to comply with code requirements. I believe that spaces should be thoughtfully designed for people of all ages and abilities. Good design is about more than creating something beautiful. If it doesn’t function well for all people and the planet – it is a failed design.”
