Latino Cultural Center Multi-Form Theater

Dallas, Texas

An expansion that deepens the Latino Cultural Center’s role as a hub for arts and community

Project Brief

The Latino Cultural Center, located east of Downtown Dallas and just north of Deep Ellum in Old East Dallas, is a vibrant cultural facility home to two local theater companies and numerous small arts organizations. The 5,500 square foot expansion of the existing LCC facility, originally designed by Legorreta Arquitectos of Mexico City, features a 120-seat Multi-Form (black box) Theater, dressing rooms, theater storage, and an expanded building lobby. This expansion also includes the redevelopment of Florence Street to become a secondary entrance to the complex.

GFF served as the Architect of Record in collaboration with Legorreta Arquitectos, ensuring the new design elements harmonized with the distinctive style of the existing building. The expansion aims to enhance the center’s functionality and accessibility, supporting its role as a regional catalyst for Latino and Hispanic arts and culture.
