Associate + Senior Design Leader
The University of Texas at Arlington
Beth Schmidt is a Senior Design Leader at GFF known for emphasis on experiential design and her innovative approach to collaboration. Hailing from the metroplex, Beth immersed herself in design during her studies at the University of Texas at Arlington, graduating Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Interior Design in 2009. While Beth’s role in the firm is dynamic, contributing to architecture, interior design and planning projects, her expertise lies in elevated interiors and hospitality.
At her previous firm, Beth was a vital member of a design team specializing in international airport design. Her work can be experienced in terminals in places such as Charlotte, San Fransisco, and Shenzhen. Since Joining GFF in 2022, she has quickly made an impact in several strategic pursuits in addition to the design of GFF’s dynamic new headquarters in Dallas and several shared amenities within the same complex. Beth’s approach to projects centers around the atmosphere – She cares deeply that emotion and feeling translate into the physical manifestations of space. Her projects seek to make people laugh, cry, or be moved to action.
Beth’s creativity extends to her home life. Her husband is also a member of the industry, and they are focused on the lights of their lives, their two daughters. Beth spends her free time indulging in her girls’ imaginative adventures and is constantly rearranging furniture to accommodate their whims.
“Being entrusted with someone’s space, especially one they occupy daily is a profound thing. You are being asked to shape where they live, dream, and how they will feel while doing so. It should never be taken for granted.”
