The GFF Church Works Studio has been busy working on projects under construction recently.
St. Andrew Methodist Church – Plano, Texas
The most recent design for St. Andrew is a new 9,200 square foot stand-alone chapel nestled in the woods on the northwest corner of their existing 21-acre campus overlooking a pond. Hasley Chapel, dedicated to the church’s founding pastor, Robert Hasley, will seat 350 people for small, intimate worship services, weddings, and funerals.
Projected construction completion: May 2023.
Milestone Church – Keller, Texas
The next phase of the GFF designed master plan for Milestone Church includes a new 55,000 square foot addition to their existing 86,000 square foot facility in Keller, Texas. The scope includes an expanded commons with an outdoor patio that can be enclosed with bifolding glass panels, a dedicated children’s entry and wing containing large group rooms, an indoor play area, and staff offices. Additionally, GFF designed the expansion of the worship room seating from 1,500 seats to 2,500 seats within the existing footprint, which was anticipated in the original master plan design.
Projected construction completion: summer of 2023.
Hope Fellowship Church – Prosper, Texas
A new 38,000 square foot ground-up satellite campus includes an 800-seat worship space as well as spaces for education and gathering. The original master plan and building design allow for future expansion of the worship space to contain 1,200 seats within the existing footprint. Additional future phases include offices, a chapel, classrooms, an outdoor play area, and a boutique coffee house to engage the surrounding residential community.
Projected construction completion: summer of 2023.
First United Methodist Church – Rockwall, Texas
GFF designed a connector building to join three existing buildings on site. The design blends with the existing architectural vocabulary and provides an additional gathering space for the congregation.
Projected construction completion: April 2023.
Antioch Fellowship Missionary Baptist Church – Dallas, Texas
This project is a renovation to an existing 26,000 square foot worship space. The scope consists of adding new acoustic wall and ceiling treatments and infrastructure for future lighting, replacing the existing baptistry, updating sound booth and camera platform areas, and reconfiguring and enlarging the platform to provide more space for the band and AVL equipment.
Projected construction completion: April 2023.

Life Fellowship Church Unveils Newly Transformed Campus
GFF developed a new comprehensive campus master plan for Life Fellowship Church (LFC) located in McKinney, Texas, which includes renovation and expansion of their current campus to include a 1,200-seat future worship center, a weekday preschool, additional adult classrooms, and an administrative suite on a very compact site.
Protecting Our Feathered Friends
As cities grow and buildings become taller, the need to protect the earth's bird population is becoming more urgent. Thankfully, there are solutions to mitigate the problem, including guidelines for bird friendly glazing selections and building design features.
