Prosper United Methodist Church has been at their current location since 1902. The church was interested in relocating from their current home of 122 years and seeking to develop a comprehensive facility master plan for a new campus on an undeveloped 39-acre tract of land located in the Town of Prosper, Texas. The initial scope of work included programming, master planning and conceptual designs for the phase I building program. The project had to consider the future growth of the congregation while recalling the rich traditions and history of the original church. Design priorities included incorporating new stained-glass windows inspired by the existing ones and the creation of outdoor amenity spaces to serve the church and surrounding community.
The proposed concept organized the campus along a linear circulation spine running parallel to an existing creek. The sanctuary and education components are configured around a large indoor /outdoor gathering space that will provide a vibrant activity hub for congregants and the community. Phase I of the Masterplan was realized in 2022.
