Tammy Chambless is a Principal with GFF, Inc

Ms. Chambless has been an architect for more than 30 years and a pioneer in computer aided design. Her extensive experience ranges from retail corporate building programs to shopping centers and data centers. She is exceedingly well-versed in adaptation of designs for varying parameters of use and building codes and during the course of her work has developed a deep understanding of the techniques and processes necessary to effectively carry out such building programs. Since joining GFF in 1984, she has assumed the responsibilities of Studio Director, was named an Associate Principal in 1998 and became a Principal in 2008. Tammy has utilized her architectural abilities to develop a solid track record with several national retail and institutional clients, including a 15-year relationship with Circuit City Stores, Inc. as well as an ongoing relationship with the Army and Air Force Exchange Services (AAFES). She has also completed a number of facilities utilization analyses for various municipalities and corporations.

A talented artist in her own right, she works with metal as the medium. Her award winning designs have been featured by the Dallas Institute of Humanities and Culture and Dallas City Center Association and exhibited over much of the southern and southwestern US. She has won several awards, including the Ken Roberts Memorial Delineation Competition Merit Award. A long-time volunteer, Tammy mentors underprivileged students and serves on the Advisory Board at Trinity River Mission, has served on the Central Business District Task Force and the State Thomas Task Force of the Dallas Landmark Commission. She is a frequent volunteer for Preservation Dallas and in 2008 received the North Star Award for her volunteer work at Trinity River Mission.
