St. Paul’s Episcopal Church & School

Prosper, Texas

St. Paul’s Episcopal Church of Prosper engaged GFF to master plan and design their new campus on a seven-acre site at the southwest corner of Coit and First Street in Prosper, Texas. This new facility is designed to function as a day school during the week and a church on weekends, seamlessly serving the dual needs of the community.

The master plan includes a 250-seat multi-purpose worship space, children’s education areas, and both indoor and outdoor community gathering spaces. Future phases of the campus development envision a larger worship space for 350 people, expanded children’s education facilities, and additional outdoor play areas.

Key design themes that emerged from discussions with the church community were inclusiveness, natural light, and simplicity. These elements are reflected in the use of light-toned plaster and natural stone, maintaining material simplicity, while colonnade-wrapped courtyards and light-filled worship spaces foster a sense of community and openness.

GFF’s Faith & Community Studio carefully crafted this design to ensure that the new campus would meet the needs of both the church and school, providing a flexible and inviting environment that supports their mission and future growth.
