Renovation of this 1951 collegiate Georgian chapel on the Southern Methodist University campus was one of the first initiatives to be implemented from GFF’s award-winning Centennial Master Plan. This beloved space is used for worship, teaching, and as a popular wedding venue, so improved infrastructure and enhanced flexibility were both needed, particularly on the platform. The project included a new mechanical system, new lighting, audio-visual and presentation technology, acoustical enhancements, and handicap accessibility improvements. Audience seating and chancel furniture were made more flexible, and subtle color shading enlivens the color scheme.
