The Alton

The Alton (formally known as Oden Hughes Oak Lawn) will strengthen the walkability and urban nature of Oak Lawn Avenue. Oden Hughes and GFF have designed a predominantly masonry eight-story building that respects the scale and materials of the historic Melrose Hotel on the neighboring site to the north. The development will provide 6,000 SF of restaurant space opening to Oak Lawn Avenue and 330 residential units including live-work style ground level units along Dickason Avenue. Amenities including a pool will be located on level 3 within a courtyard opening to Oak Lawn. The building has been designed to preserve many of the mature live oak trees along Oak Lawn and Dickason Avenue.
