Navarro College – Ellis County College Campus Study

This 1999 study for Navarro College’s growth to surrounding counties envisioned the campus to accommodate approximately 140,000 SF with parking for 776 spaces and be constructed in phases consisting of buildings approximately 25,000 SF each. The flagship administration building of 38,000 SF housed the Learning Resource Center, Computer Hall, One-Stop Student Center, theater and food court in addition to the administration offices. Organization of the plan harkens back to the “campus green” concept as a major planning device. In this way both the logic for systematic expansion and the aesthetic value of “place-making” is enhanced.
