Gold’s Gym International, the most recognized name in personal fitness, has engaged GFF Interiors to design their new facilities located across Colorado, Missouri, Ohio, Oklahoma and Texas. As the nature of fitness has evolved, so has the design of the facility. The project initially started with GFF Interiors designing a prototype plan, which accommodates various workout styles, the latest training equipment and to provide a full range of amenities areas to enhance the members and guests experience. Each new location starts with the prototype, which is then modified for the specific site.
Each facility includes a large area of cardio/strength/fitness equipment as well as a cycle studio and an aerobic studio. The amenity spaces include Cardio Cinema®, which provides a movie theater-like experience, Gold’s Fit®, a versatile space for cross-training, an Aquatics Center, which has a lap pool, spa and sauna, and a Kid’s Club®. The areas are highlighted by the use of energetic forms, colors and graphics and are organized around the centrally located cardio/strength/fitness floor. Through the use of similar floor finishes and ceiling treatments, the overall aesthetics of the facility are tied together.
