First Baptist Grapevine
With a history dating back to the mid-1800’s, this congregation initially sought GFF’s assistance with planning their move from a land-locked downtown location to a nearby spacious site fronting on a major freeway. After developing a detailed program of immediate and anticipated needs and wants, GFF arranged nearly 300,000 SF of space in a phased linear assemblage of one, two and three story buildings alongside a heavily wooded intermittent stream. The 2,000 seat worship center is the pivot point around which a fellowship hall, two gyms, a chapel, administrative offices, a music suite, classrooms, a youth worship space, an indoor children’s play area and a coffee house are arranged.
GFF then continued the process by designing an initial phase of 81,500 SF housing a flexible 740 seat worship center (that eventually transitions into the youth worship center), the indoor children’s play area, the coffee house, two wings of classrooms and a temporary gym.
