Coram Deo Academy
Plano, Texas
Coram Deo Academy is a non-denominational day school serving Christian families at three locations in the Dallas-Ft. Worth metroplex. The school engaged GFF to develop a prototype building that could be adapted to suit their needs at their current main campus for a gymnasium and support spaces, as well as be designed to become the main school building for their new Collin County campus. The prototype consisted of a large multipurpose room /gymnasium in the center of the building and classroom/support spaces surrounding it. This approach allows the school to build out future classroom wings surrounding the gymnasium as their needs change. Coram Deo Academy is in the process of building the Collin County Campus which sits on 3 acres and consists of approximately 28,000 SF. The building will include classrooms for children Pre K thru high school, a multipurpose room/ gymnasium, worship services and drama productions, a lobby, administration offices, and support areas with site features such as a covered drop –off/pick-up area, a playground and a shared playing field with an adjacent church. Completed January 2015.
