GFF has partnered with Chase Oaks Church on an expansive project to enhance their worship and children’s facilities. The new design for the Multipurpose Worship Center added 800 seats to the existing 1200-seat venue, featuring fixed terraced seating that improves sightlines and fosters a more intimate community-centered worship experience. Beneath the terraced seating, the space is efficiently utilized as a ‘wrap-around’ Community Commons, illuminated by natural light from surrounding windows, enhancing the communal atmosphere.
The expansion also includes a two-story addition to the Children’s Education Building. The renovation and expansion of approximately 32,000 square feet in the nursery, children’s, and elementary-school spaces, collectively known as “Kidzone,” have transformed these areas. The design groups nursery, toddler, and Pre-K classrooms into age-specific “pods” using bright accent colors for wayfinding. An indoor play space and a large multi-purpose assembly room were added for Kindergarten use at the east end of the children’s wing.
Upstairs, two independent zones for lower and upper elementary-age children have been created, each featuring large assembly spaces for worship, open areas for socialization, and small group interactions. The design emphasizes the uniqueness of each space with distinct, saturated color palettes and owner-provided branding and graphics.
This project reflects Chase Oaks Church’s commitment to providing dynamic and engaging spaces that support their mission to create lasting good within the community, as evidenced by their broader “Reimagine” project, which aims to activate spaces, amplify local good, and anchor the faith of the next generation.
