Chase Oaks Church – Kidzone Renovation & Expansion

Plano, Texas

Chase Oaks Church collaborated with GFF to make improvements to their nursery, children’s, and elementary-school spaces, collectively known as “Kidzone.”  The project consisted of approximately 32,000 square feet of renovations, and 4,500 square feet of expansion.  On the first floor, nursery, toddler, and Pre-K classrooms are grouped into “pods” by age.  Bright accent colors are used as wayfinding to identify each pod.  At the east end of the children’s wing, an indoor play space and large multi-purpose assembly room were added primarily for Kindergarten use.  Upstairs, two independent “zones” were created, one for lower elementary-age children, and the other for upper elementary students.  Each has a large assembly space for worship, combined with open spaces for socialization and small group time.  The uniqueness of each space is emphasized through the use of distinct, saturated color palettes and owner-provided branding/graphics.  Furnishings were selected by GFF and the Legacy team to reinforce Kidzone’s vibrant, playful identity.
