Blue Star

Seeking to create an inclusive recreational outlet in the heart of Las Colinas, the park at Blue Star features a wealth of recreational opportunity for the community. At center of the new Blue Star mixed use development, the park offers its guests many faces of which to interact. Providing opportunity for entertainment, the park is focused around an ample central green, capable of hosting a vast array of community gatherings and concerts. Prioritizing a mixture of leisure pursuits, as one wanders through the organic pathways and colorful pastoral plantings, they will encompass a variety of gaming and restful fixtures to interact. Seeking to imitate natural interactive elements, the play area at the park features earthen materials amongst a soft hill meant to spur adaptive and sporadic play. In addition, the plantings the fill and add life to the landscape were delicately selected for their hardiness and attraction to pollinators.  The park at Blue Star celebrates the gathering of the community, all while offering solemn pockets of reprieve in its reclaimed Texas countryside floura.
