Alta 289

The northwest area of Plano, Texas is booming with commercial and mixed-use development, and its proximity to major transportation arteries has attracted headquarters campuses for several large corporations. Alta 289 will provide approximately 300 spacious multifamily residential units in a four-story project wrapped around structured parking, flush with open space and amenity areas that face a wooded creek protected from the traffic of Preston Road. Residents will also be able to safely cross the creek via a pedestrian bridge connection to adjacent retail development. The architecture of the project responds well to its corporate neighbors with large planar moves and a celebration of connective pieces or entrances, while still deftly bringing elements down to engage the pedestrian level and utilizing a warmer material palette and moments of color to enhance the design.
