Top of the Pecking Order – UPDATE

An intricate intertwining of hemp cord creates the organically shaped eyes that highlight the main facades of the playhouse. GFF gave an extra effort towards this articulate application as we wanted to express the importance of an owl’s eyes, which are the main tool used by owls to find and hunt their prey.

While exploring the Owl Moon exhibit, be sure to catch a “bird’s eye view” from inside the playhouse, but don’t forget to venture below and witness the darker environment experienced by our nocturnal friends at night. Lastly, take time to stop and meet a few different owl families posted around the exhibit to learn more about these interesting creatures at the Dallas Arboretum.
