St. Mark’s School of Texas Winn Science Center Dedication Ceremony

St. Mark’s School of Texas celebrates the dedication of the new 56,000 square foot Winn Science Center. The new building provides a Maker Lab and Shop, Digital Technology Lab, Robotics Lab and Greenhouse along with labs for Chemistry, Biology, DNA and Environmental Science. The Science Center also includes a 250-seat auditorium and a 100-seat planetarium, with its distinctive copper dome visible on the exterior. Lab spaces are organized around a two-story skylit Commons, which serves both as an informal learning space and a venue for special events.

Dedication of the Winn Center also marks the start of a comprehensive renovation of the 24,000 square foot McDermott-Green building to house upgraded Physics and Middle School labs. When complete in July 2019, the new and renovated buildings will be linked by a two-story glass connector providing collaboration and study space.

GFF is proud to have served as Architect of Record for the project, in collaboration with Robert A. M. Stern Architects as Design Architect. #GFF #SMTEXAS #RAMSA
