Portrait of a GFFer: Emily Noble

Emily wasn’t sure she could come up with 10 fun facts but something tells me once she started it was hard to stop. 🙂 Emily is the first member of the Admin team to be featured in our Portratit of a GFFer series which makes sense since she is the first friendly face you see when you step into our office. See Emily’s Top Ten below.

  1.  I graduated from the University of North Texas (UNT) early, and I majored in International Studies with minors in Spanish and Women’s Studies.
  2.  I’m a huge animal lover. I have two cats and I’ve rescued well over a dozen animals in my life (one of which now belongs to Jillian Wagman). If I won the lottery, I’d open up my own rescue shelter.
  3. I’ve had every hair color and style imaginable. Several since I was hired at GFF.
  4. I love fashion and I make clothing and accessories as a hobby. I designed a dress made out of coke cans for the “On my Own Time” GFF Exhibit which won a blue ribbon. I also love dressing up for holidays and making my own costumes.
  5.  I’m obsessed with hockey, the Dallas Stars in particular. I’m a season ticket holder, and I’ve met the Stanley cup twice but never touched it (it’s bad luck unless you win it).
  6. Tennis and cycling take up a lot of my free time. I try to cycle about 35 miles every weekend and I play in a tennis tournament with my grandmother every week (cue the “awws”).
  7. I’m very thrifty and take great pride in being able to find expensive things for cheap (my greatest find was a genuine Chanel bag for $30).
  8. I sing and play guitar as well… good luck trying to catch me in the act though.
  9. I love music and have a wide variety of tastes (surprising to most- heavy rock/metal being my favorite). My playlist can go from Led Zeppelin, Tool, NIN, Alice in Chains, Black Sabbath, Soundgarden, all the way to Lady Gaga, Daft Punk,  80s hip-hop and then back to old school Aretha Franklin, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson.
  10. If I were stuck on a deserted island and had to choose one meal to eat for the rest of my life, it would be breakfast food. I love breakfast and own a bacon cookbook.
