Portrait of a GFFer: Mike Lehr
Meet Mike Lehr. Mike is a city boy from Baltimore, Maryland and a huge Orioles and Ravens fan. He received his Bachelor of Architecture from Drexel University in Philadelphia and has been married to his wife, Lisa, for 18 years. They have a 16 year old daughter, Madison, and an 8 year old son, Dylan. Mike joined the GFF Church Works Studio in 2016 after moving from Pennsylvania with his family. - I love photography. I grab random shots of inspiration on Instagram and carry my camera with me when I travel.
- Being a father is my favorite job.
- I knew I wanted to be an architect in first grade.
- We love to be outside, hiking, and traveling to see new places. My favorite trips have been San Antonio, San Francisco, Los Angeles and Bermuda. We try to make a trip to NYC every few year around the holidays.
- I could eat tacos for every meal; another reason I’m happy to be in Texas!
- I love sports and help coach my son’s baseball and basketball teams. I enjoy running and playing softball with fellow GFFers.
- We just celebrated my daughter’s 16th birthday by going indoor skydiving as a family.
- I’m a certified lay speaker in the United Methodist Church.
- I love music and going to concerts with friends. My favorite artists to listen to right now are the Turnpike Troubadours, the Avett Brothers and David Ramirez.
- Despite being annoyed that my wife booked a trip to Disney World during Super Bowl XLVII that the Ravens won, I got to see Joe Flacco in the MVP parade the next day and was interviewed by a local Baltimore TV station.
