- I married my high school sweetheart. We started dating when we were 16.
- As a kid I wanted to be a chef. I would wake up early in elementary school just so that I could take breakfast orders from my family and cook breakfast for everyone. Cooking is still one of my favorite things to do on the weekends
- Like most people, I love to travel. My dad was a world class sailor in the Snipe class and my family would travel around the world to sailing championships. I had been to Japan, Norway, the Bahamas, and Italy before I was 12.
- I was captain of my varsity soccer team and a place kicker on the football team. I still play soccer weekly.
- I did a semester abroad in Germany with about 12 other design students while at Texas A&M. It is by far my favorite semester of school. I didn’t become fluent in German.
- My sister now lives in Australia and has married an Aussie. We love visiting her.
- I have a design patent for a collapsible set of measuring cups intended for children that I designed while completing my MArch at the University of Pennsylvania.
- Vices include whiskey and sweets.
- Fears include being anywhere that I am unable to see, i.e. the dark or murky water.
- I once had dinner with Ross Perot at a Black-eyed Pea. It was New Year’s day and my family was eating out. We noticed a guy that looked like Ross Perot sitting alone in a booth and my Uncle, who was a colonel in the Air Force at the time went and asked him to join us. He did and they shared stories of their time in the service.
