The Hockaday School Center for the Arts

“This wonderful Center is not only a culmination of a century of the arts at Hockaday, but also a pathway into the future of the arts in the 21st Century.”

In early October, The Hockaday School celebrated the recent completion of the comprehensive reconstruction and addition to their facilities serving the Fine Arts curriculum at the school. The Center includes instructional and performance spaces for theater, scenery design and construction, drama, orchestra, choir, painting, ceramics and music for middle and upper school students.

Lead donors Nancy A. Nasher and David J. Haemisegger expressed their perspective on this project:

“Developing a relationship with the arts at an early age is an integral part of the educational process of our future leaders. It is our hope that this facility will foster a comprehensive connection to the arts and enable generation of Hockaday students to flourish in this area.”

Because of an on-going passion and commitment for quality from the donors, administration, board members and faculty, it has been GFF’s extreme pleasure to serve The Hockaday School as planners, architects and interior designers on the campus for 18 years.
