Girl Scout Cookie Box Competition

This past weekend Jennifer Workman, Jeanmarie Brienza, Kathleen Wu, Kelsey Vusich and Lauren Amos participated with a troop in the Girl Scout Cookie Box Competition. This annual competition pairs Girl Scout troops with women architects and engineers from local firms to create free-standing structures using cookie boxes. This year’s theme incorporates ecosystems and features 10 different structures. The team was assigned the salt water aquatic ecosystem so we helped the girls design and construct a shipwrecked boat, covered in seaweed and underwater creatures. It will be on display at the Galleria until March 22.

The group put in numerous hours, blood, sweat and tears (from hot glue burns) into this competition and GFF is proud to show off their hard work!
