This summer, GFF took part in our eighth year of On My Own Time. By working closely with Business Council for the Arts, we created an outstanding art show featuring the talent of our employees and spouses. GFF’s Tara Harandi and Perry Weber served as OMOT Ambassadors who managed the in-house exhibitions and acted as liaisons between GFF and BCA. Our gallery consisted of approximately 50 entries that ranged anywhere from paintings on canvas, to photography, mixed media and sculpture.
The talent residing within the GFF family showcased their work at a reception at Kettle Art Gallery located in Deep Ellum. Sleepy Creek, a local band that frequently plays at Prophet Bar and Poor David’s Pub made this year’s opening reception even more memorable.
Awards were distributed during the reception to winners of each category of art as well as People’s Choice award. The winners of each category will move on to a regional show at NorthPark Mall.
