D MAGAZINE EARTH DAY PUBLICATION – 2011
Now in its 4th year, Earth Day Texas (formerly, Earth Day Dallas) is an annual, outdoor festival seeking to elevate environmental awareness. The family-friendly and free-admission event allows Texans the chance to see how green lifestyle choices can lower their cost of living, improve their health, and help save the environment.
GFF is proud to be involved with Earth Day Texas again this year. In the inaugural 2011 Earth Day Dallas event, it was a group from GFF that conceived of and led the construction of the “Hive” to collect recyclable bottles from event-goers. An image from GFF made it into the article about Earth Day in D Magazine.
Earth Day Texas is supported primarily by Trammell Crow and Dallas is lucky to have such a patron of the environment. The 2014 Earth Day event will take place at Fair Park, and will utilize approximately 500,000 square feet of both indoor and outdoor event space to accommodate the 600 exhibitors and 60,000 guests anticipated to attend this year’s event.
Look for GFF in the Eco Expo, where exhibitors will promote taking environmentally responsible action. GFF will have employees at a booth demonstrating their architectural skills while presenting the sustainable design culture that permeates the firm.
