GFF, Inc. is pleased to announce our recent promotions. Brian Moore, AICP and Maria Gomez, AIA, LEED AP were named Principals. In addition, David Boone, RA was named Associate Principal. In total, 26 architects, intern architects, interior designers and planners were promoted in another record-breaking year for the firm.
Moore, graduating with a Master Degree in Architecture and a Bachelor of Environmental Design from Texas A&M University in 1995, started his career at GFF in 1996. As a Certified Planner, with the AICP credential, Moore leads the GFF Planning and GFF Landscape divisions. “It’s really been both exciting and a privilege to watch our planning and landscape team grow over the past several years, maturing into an extremely talented and diverse group of individuals that can together tackle any challenging assignment by way of thoughtful and collaborative design practices,” Moore stated.
Maria Gomez began her career with GFF in 1999, and now directs one of the firm’s design studios. She graduated from Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana with a Bachelor of Architecture, in her native country of Columbia. Ms. Gomez is also an Officer of the Dallas Chapter AIA for 2016, and is frequently asked to serve as Juror for Design Awards and Competitions. “It is very rewarding for me to be a principal in a firm with so many talented people working with such a broad range of clients and projects,” Gomez remarked. “I look forward to being part of the leadership that will continue to expand the firm’s impact and relationships within the community and beyond.”
David Boone has over 19 years of professional experience working on a diverse range of project types for a variety of clients. Joining GFF in 2006, Boone currently serves as a Project Leader for GFF Interiors. “I feel fortunate to be part of a firm that values its employees and the skill sets they bring to each project,” said Boone.
Additional promotions included the following: promoted to Associate were Jacquelyn Block, AIA, LEED AP, Laura Eder, AIA, LEED AP, GGP, Kent Pontious, AIA, LEED AP and John Womble, AIA. Promoted to Senior Project Coordinator were Samuel Mortimer, RA, Teresa Rodriguez, Assoc AIA, IIDA, LEED AP and Adam Fenner, RA, LEED AP. James Spence was promoted to Senior Visual Coordinator and Rodman Ricketts was promoted to Senior Planning Coordinator. New Project Coordinators include Simon Alvarez, Assoc. AIA, Lauren Amos, Assoc. AIA, JohnPaul Barrandey, Ryan Beattie, Jeff Boyum, Cristina Driver, Marissa Flanagan Assoc. IIDA, Reagan Gill, Morgan Tade, Assoc. AIA, LEED Green Associate, Mariah Trevizo, Jamie Wallace, Ryan Wilson and Kathleen Wu.
