Our client selected the popular north Oak Lawn neighborhood, immediately south of Highland Park, to begin an assembly of apartment tracts for redevelopment into for sale townhouses.
GFF was challenged to achieve a density of 25 units per acre utilizing a three-story, individual garage typology. These houses are situated on two tracts across the street from each other. They reference classic modern architecture in their repetitive rhythm, composition and materiality, while providing individual identity for each house. Living/dining/kitchen spaces are located on the second floors, and stairways are extended to roof decks, which offer downtown skyline views.
